Students Talk is committed to publishing accurate, reliable, and trustworthy information. Despite our rigorous editorial process, errors can occasionally occur. When they do, we act swiftly, transparently, and responsibly to correct the record.
This Corrections Policy applies to all editorial content published on studentstalk.in, including news articles, exam updates, result announcements, guides, and features.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
We never alter published content to conceal errors without disclosing what was changed. Our readers trust us because they know we hold ourselves accountable — and that means being honest when something we published was wrong.
Types of Corrections
Factual Corrections
If an article contains a factual error — an incorrect exam date, wrong result link, inaccurate statistic, or misattributed information — we correct the error immediately upon discovery or notification. A correction notice is added at the top of the article, clearly stating what was wrong and what the correct information is, along with the date the correction was made.
Updates to Time-Sensitive Information
Education news changes rapidly. When official authorities revise exam schedules, results, or policies, we update our articles to reflect the latest information and add a clear ‘Last Updated’ timestamp. The original publication date is retained for transparency.
Typographical and Formatting Errors
Minor spelling or formatting corrections that do not affect the factual meaning of content are fixed silently, without a formal correction notice.
How to Report an Error
If you believe any content on Students Talk contains incorrect information, we encourage you to report it so we can review and correct it promptly.
You can report errors by:
- Emailing us at: corrections@studentstalk.in
- Using the Contact Us form on our website
Please include the URL of the article, the specific information you believe is incorrect, and a reference or source that supports the correct information. We will acknowledge your report within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 48–72 working hours.
Editorial Review Process
Once an error report is received, our editorial team reviews the claim against original sources. If the error is confirmed, the article is corrected and a correction notice is added. If the original content is found to be accurate, we will respond to the reporter explaining why no correction was made, with supporting sources.
Corrections are logged internally for quality assurance and to prevent similar errors in future content.
Retractions
In rare cases where an article is found to contain multiple significant errors, or where the foundational premise of a story is found to be incorrect, Students Talk may issue a full retraction. Retracted articles are not deleted — instead, they are clearly marked as retracted with a notice explaining the reason, so that readers who may have previously read the content are aware.
